Brotherhood Beyond Maryland

The Halligan Program

The brotherhood of the fire service doesn't stop at the Maryland state line — and neither does ours.

The Halligan Program gives Brother Master Masons from across the country who have served in the Fire/EMS community or a related public-safety discipline an opportunity to become part of the St. Florian 9-11 Lodge brotherhood.

Created for Brothers who live outside Maryland and cannot regularly attend our communications, the program provides a connection to a Masonic lodge built around the shared traditions of Freemasonry, the fire service, and a lifetime of service to others.

Halligan Program members become part of the St. Florian community, receive Lodge communications and may participate in Lodge activities and committee work — helping us extend fire-service Masonic brotherhood across jurisdictions.
Who Is Eligible?
A Master Mason in good standing with a Grand Lodge recognized by the Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M. of Maryland.
Currently serving or previously served in the fire service, emergency medical services, or a related fire-service/public-safety discipline.
